The WILF Mission · WILF: Foundations

Helping young people rebuild hope after adversity.

An 8-week, in-school wellbeing and mentoring programme — delivered in small groups, or 1:1 for students who need more individual support.

Every school has students carrying something.

Bereavement, divorce, illness, bullying, isolation — rarely just one.

This isn't about the label. It's about making sure nobody carries it alone.

What's Included

Everything a school needs to run it well.

01
Trained Facilitator
Or a dedicated mentor, for the 1:1 track — delivering all 8 sessions.
02
Student Workbook
A private, guided workbook for every participant.
03
Parent Materials
Full information and consent materials, sent before the programme starts.
04
Full Reporting
Outcome data, attendance, and a qualitative summary at the end.
05
Safeguarding Built In
Vetted facilitators, a named school contact, and a clear referral pathway.
06
Two Delivery Formats
Whole-cohort group sessions, or 1:1 for higher-need students.
Two Ways To Deliver

The same mission, matched to what each student needs.

Group Programme
6–12 students
A school's universal offer — whole-cohort resilience building through peer connection and shared activity.
1:1 Mentoring
One student, one mentor
For students needing more privacy, pacing, or support than a group setting can safely provide.
Safety First

Built for a school to actually say yes to.

Every facilitator holds a current working-with-children check and relevant adolescent mental health training.
A named contact within your pastoral team is briefed before every cohort and available throughout.
Students are never asked to share trauma publicly — reflective work stays private unless they choose to share it.
A clear, rehearsed referral pathway is followed for any disclosure, in line with your school's existing policy.
Pricing

Models built around how schools actually budget

Per-Student Fee
A flat fee per enrolled student for the 8-week cycle. Best for a defined wellbeing budget line and known cohort size.
Per-Cohort Flat Fee
One price for a full group, regardless of exact headcount. Simpler for a school to approve.
Termly Licence
A set fee per term, covering an agreed number of cohorts across year groups.
Before You Book

Questions schools actually ask

We already have a school counsellor.

This isn't clinical intervention — it's a structured, group-based resilience programme that runs alongside counselling, often reaching students who wouldn't otherwise seek support on their own.

How is this different from our PSHE/pastoral curriculum?

Smaller groups, consistent facilitators across all 8 weeks, and a structure built specifically around lived adversity rather than a general curriculum topic.

What's the evidence this works?

Every session maps to a specific, reportable outcome — and every cohort includes pre/post evaluation data you can take directly to your own reporting.

Budget is tight this year.

A reduced pilot rate is available for a first cohort, in exchange for a case study — a low-risk way to see it in action before a bigger commitment.
